Start with the reading task

EPUBTurn turns eligible PDFs into EPUB reading copies. This guide shows how to test an annual report through the displayed sample controls. Open the PDF upload page when your document is ready. Keep the source as the reference for the details described below.

1. Choose an authorised PDF and keep the original

Obtain the report from the company’s own investor-relations page. Keep the original PDF and its reporting period visible while checking the conversion. A report for another year can look almost identical. Confirm you are allowed to upload the document, and avoid internal management accounts or confidential material unless you have permission. Decide which reading task matters: following the strategy commentary is different from interpreting a densely packed financial statement.

2. Upload your PDF with Choose a PDF

Open the EPUBTurn upload page and select Choose a PDF. Select the actual PDF rather than a link to an investor website or a renamed spreadsheet. Check the displayed document before continuing. EPUBTurn accepts eligible PDFs up to 200 MB, with full conversions up to 100 pages. Some annual reports exceed that page limit. Do not assume a longer report becomes eligible simply because the file is small; use an authorised document that fits the current controls.

3. Create a free sample and check selected pages

Select Create free sample when the document is accepted. The sample uses up to ten automatically selected pages. Look at the selected page numbers before treating the sample as evidence about the entire report. If none of those pages contains the balance sheet or the chart you care about, the sample has not answered that question. Check a selected passage against the same source page, keeping its year, currency and scale in view.

4. Prepare the sample download

Wait for the sample preparation to finish. If Create sample download appears, select that button to prepare the reading file. Do not confuse a completed processing indicator with a downloaded EPUB. Follow the screen’s actual status and instructions; if the sample needs attention or the next control is unavailable, keep the original report and avoid assuming the file is ready. A missing download is a workflow limit, not proof that the financial content converted correctly.

5. Download the EPUB and inspect it in your reader

Select Download sample EPUB and open the saved file in your reading app. In Apple Books on Mac, use File > Import to add an EPUB. Read a complete commentary paragraph and then inspect any selected table. Keep each row label tied to its value, reporting year and unit; a figure labelled in millions must not become a bare number. Enlarge the text and check footnotes and chart legends against the PDF. Comfortable prose alone does not establish reliable financial tables.

Read a white paper’s argument without losing its sources

A white paper usually asks you to follow an argument, rather than read a set of financial statements. Identify the problem, the proposed solution and the evidence supporting the recommendation. Keep the publication date and version with the source PDF, especially when the report describes a product or a changing market.

Use EPUBTurn’s free sample to see whether the main discussion becomes comfortable to read at a larger text size. Compare one paragraph that cites a chart with the chart title, units and source note. A retained percentage is useful only when the reader can still tell what the percentage measures. Keep a sidebar clearly separate from the author’s main argument.

After downloading the EPUB, read through a heading transition and try an external source link. Keep the original alongside the reading copy for charts and page-specific quotations. Judge your own document’s argument and references before treating the EPUB as your usual reading edition.

Follow a policy report from recommendation to endnote

For a policy report, begin with one numbered recommendation you want to understand. Locate the supporting discussion and the endnote or reference attached to that recommendation. Keep the report’s date, issuing organisation and edition visible in your saved file name so a reading copy is not mistaken for a newer policy.

Create an EPUBTurn sample from an authorised PDF and compare the recommendation number and wording with the source. Read the paragraph before and after the recommendation. A callout box should remain separate from the main text, and a footnote should not be mistaken for another recommendation. If the source uses endnotes, check the note number and the cited organisation together.

After downloading, try a note link and return to the passage. Do not assume printed note numbers become interactive links. Keep the PDF for exact page citations and the complete annexes. The selected NASA conversion provides technical-report evidence, not a tested policy-report result; a policy reading copy still needs its own recommendation and source checks. Use the EPUB when the argument reads comfortably, while retaining the authoritative report for decisions and quotations.

6. Decide whether to convert more pages

If the screen offers full conversion, follow its sign-in and confirmation steps. Read the actual page-credit requirement and any displayed checkout amount before confirming. Full conversion should follow a useful sample and a clear understanding of the remaining pages. Keep the PDF for financial statements and citations even if the EPUB makes the narrative easier to read. If the sample mixes years or disconnects values from their labels, retain the PDF for that material.

What the actual example establishes

There is no actual annual-report conversion presented on this page. The workflow above gives you specific checks for your own report. Our separate journal-paper trial preserved selected numerical associations in its reviewed EPUBTurn export, but that finding does not establish financial-table handling. An annual report needs its own inspected rows, units and notes. Record the selected source pages and the reader you used so you can distinguish an observed result from a general expectation.
