Files, credits and accessible reading
Understand file handling, conversion limits, page credits and the checks that support accessible reading. These guides help you decide what to upload and what to review before relying on a converted document.
Read the current privacy, terms and refund pages for the service rules. Accessibility needs its own reading checks; adjustable text alone does not establish accessibility.
Check upload permission before convenience
Owning a copy does not always mean an organisation permits uploading it to a cloud service. Check the document’s confidentiality and applicable sharing rules before conversion. When upload is prohibited, use an approved local route. When upload is allowed, keep a source copy and download the reading edition you intend to retain.
Read the upload decision guide and the current privacy policy for the actual service rules.
Budget from the confirmed conversion, not an invented price
Use the conversion confirmation for required credits and the account for usable balance. Subtract the balance from the requirement, stopping at zero. A worked example of 60 required credits and 25 available credits needs 35 additional credits; those numbers illustrate arithmetic, not a quoted package.
Use the credit worksheet and checkout for the actual pack, currency and total. Review failed-conversion handling rather than assuming every unfinished run has the same outcome.
Accessibility requires more than larger type
Adjustable text helps some readers, but accessible reading also depends on meaningful order, headings, navigation, image descriptions and the reading app. A picture may be retained visually while still lacking a useful description. A fluent paragraph may still land in the wrong reading sequence.
Use the screen-reader task checks and image-description checks for your own file. These guides do not certify every generated EPUB as accessible. File retention and deletion are separate questions covered in the file-handling guide.
