How to check equations in an EPUBTurn research-paper sample
Use an EPUBTurn paper sample to check signs, superscripts and complete equation crops against the original formulas.
On this page
1. Identify a formula and the definitions beside it
Keep the published PDF for exact notation. Identify the complete expression, its equation number and nearby variable definitions. Adjustable prose is useful for reading the argument, but a missing sign or clipped denominator can change a calculation.
EPUBTurn creates an EPUB reading copy from an eligible PDF. Open the PDF upload after preparing the source. Keep both files so the original remains available for exact layouts and citations.
2. Choose the prepared PDF in EPUBTurn
Select Choose a PDF and choose your paper containing equations. Confirm the filename and displayed document. Read any current upload message before continuing. Eligible PDFs must fit the service’s limits: up to 200 MB, with full conversions up to 100 pages. A smaller authorised excerpt can be useful, but changing the filename does not change the document’s format or page count.

3. Create a sample and check its actual pages
Select Create free sample. Up to ten pages are selected automatically. Check the included page numbers against the passage you intended to inspect. For a paper containing equations, an easy introductory page cannot answer a difficult layout question elsewhere. If the required continuation or figure is missing, leave that feature unchecked instead of treating the sample as a complete-document result.

4. Prepare the sample EPUB download
If Create sample download is available, prepare the EPUB and wait for its download control. An equation seen in a preview may still need inspection in the exported file. Follow any quality or review message shown by the service. A stopped equation crop should not be treated as a successful automatic result, and confirming more pages should not be assumed to repair the same formula.
5. Read the selected passage beside its source
Choose Download sample EPUB and save the file. Open it in your reader; Apple Books on Mac supports File > Import.
Compare the selected equation character by character. Check signs, brackets and punctuation, then identify what belongs in each numerator, denominator, exponent and index. Read the nearby variable definitions and equation number as part of the same check. For an image formula, inspect all four edges: a tidy crop may still omit a condition or part of a fraction. For text notation, confirm that indices and powers remain distinguishable. Do not silently substitute the expression you expect to see. If the complete equation cannot be verified, use the EPUB for surrounding explanation and keep the PDF for the calculation.

What the actual example establishes
The published paper’s page-seven equations stopped the initial automatic workflow. Three equation crops were corrected manually before the reviewed result was built. Inspect that saved file against the complete source expressions; the corrections are part of its provenance, not evidence of automatic formula success. The review establishes the inspected crop content, not the validity of the scientific calculations.
Open the original paper excerpt beside the reviewed EPUBTurn result.
6. Confirm whether a longer conversion is useful
If a longer conversion is offered, read the displayed credit requirement and decide whether the inspected formulas are useful enough to continue. Keep unselected equations outside that conclusion. In the longer download, check another complete expression and its definitions before relying on the mathematical content. Retain the published PDF as the reference for calculations.
