How to convert a PDF to EPUB for Kobo
Create an EPUBTurn sample, save the EPUB and follow Kobo’s documented computer transfer and reading checks.

1. Choose prose you want to read at a larger size
Kobo supports PDFs as well as EPUBs, so begin with the reading problem. A text-heavy PDF may be easier to follow as adjustable paragraphs; a diagram or worksheet may work better on its original page. EPUBTurn lets you inspect a sample before committing to a complete reading copy.
Use a PDF you are allowed to upload and keep the original. Identify one paragraph transition and a useful figure. Those details are better checks than whether the book simply appears in a library.
2. Choose the PDF and create a sample
Open the EPUBTurn upload, click Choose a PDF and select your source. Check the filename and current limits, then choose Create free sample.
Up to ten pages are selected automatically. When processing finishes, inspect the selected page coverage. If the figure you chose is absent, leave that feature unchecked; a clean opening page does not establish the later layout.

3. Save a non-protected EPUB you can inspect
Use Create sample download if offered and wait for Download sample EPUB. Save the file to your computer. Open it in a compatible EPUB reader and compare a known passage with the source before moving it to the Kobo.
The USB method below is for non-protected files. Do not remove a publisher’s access controls or assume ownership of a subscription permits conversion and redistribution. Keep your own sample download as the unchanged comparison file.

4. Add the EPUB using Kobo’s USB instructions
Follow Kobo’s official computer transfer steps. Connect your eReader by USB, accept the connection on the device and locate its KOBOeReader drive on the computer. Copy the saved EPUB to that drive, eject the drive safely and disconnect the cable.
Wait for content import, then find the book in My Books. Kobo notes that files added by this method remain on the device used for import; do not assume they will appear in every Kobo app after syncing.
5. Inspect adjustable text and the important figure
Open the book on your Kobo and enlarge a paragraph. Follow its continuation and locate the figure the paragraph mentions. Compare labels and the caption with the PDF; correct prose does not establish that a small chart remains readable.
If the book is missing, separate the USB connection and import checks from conversion quality. The transfer procedure is documented by Kobo; the saved EPUBTurn example has not been verified on a physical Kobo.
Before a long reading session, close and reopen the imported book and return to the known passage. Record the Kobo model and software version with your result, so a successful check refers to an exact reader rather than every device sold under the brand.
What the actual reading sample contains
The unchanged NASA reading file contains inspected hardware labels, their caption and technical prose. Use the six-page source excerpt to check those details. Its automatic sample covers only three pages, and some numbered functions have a different list layout. Correct content in that file does not establish how a physical Kobo will display it.
The report provides concrete hardware labels to find during your own Kobo check. Its limited page coverage and list formatting should remain visible in the decision rather than being treated as whole-document success.
6. Convert the longer file only when the sample helps
If full conversion is available, follow the sign-in and credit confirmation shown for your PDF. Check the required pages and any checkout amount before proceeding. After saving the longer EPUB, repeat the same computer transfer with the new file.
Inspect a newly included section on the eReader. Keep the PDF for fixed-page material and do not infer a full-book result from the sampled pages. The goal is a useful reading companion, not replacing a source page that still carries essential detail.
