Conversion cost and correction time: download a measurement sheet
Record actual cash, credits and setup, waiting, inspection and repair time for a defined reading task. Download the worksheet without an unperformed cost ranking.

Record price and correction time separately
- Set a common source and finish condition.
- Record the actual displayed conversion cost.
- Time inspection and repairs separately.
- Keep estimates separate from measured durations.
Keep a measurement worksheet
Record source file, pages covered, setup minutes, waiting minutes, inspection minutes, repair minutes, confirmed credits and actual payment where applicable. Define the finish condition before timing. Waiting and active correction are different costs, especially if you can do other work while conversion runs. A package purchase is not necessarily the cost of one document because spare credits remain. Retain receipts or screen confirmations privately and summarise measured figures only after the task is complete. A planned estimate is not a measured study.
Price the correction work your actual file needs
Use the published-paper comparison to define a finish condition: an inspected passage in the intended order, numerical values tied to their conditions, and a figure with enough labels to interpret. The reviewed EPUBTurn file needed three equation-crop corrections and still has clipped lower plot-axis labels. If your task requires those labels, include the remaining inspection or repair time rather than recording only the conversion price. No paid cost study or measured editing-time result is claimed. Enter the actual displayed price and time spent on your own document in the worksheet.
Define a readable chapter as the finish condition
Define a finish condition such as a readable chapter with correct paragraph order and its two useful illustrations. Start a timer for setup, another for conversion waiting and another for correction. If one workflow produces only the first pages, do not compare its cost with a full-book price as though they cover the same task. Keep your own observations tied to that document; someone else’s ten-minute repair does not predict your workload.
A planning worksheet is not a cost study
No conversion-cost study or paid test was performed for this article. Costs change and document complexity varies. EPUBTurn confirms page credits before conversion; use the current checkout for currency and package price.
Separate cash spending from document consumption
A credit package purchase may support several documents. Record the cash paid for the package separately from the credits consumed by the measured conversion. If a balance already exists, the immediate cash outlay can differ from the underlying credit use.
Keep active work separate from waiting time as well. Ten minutes waiting while doing other work is different from ten minutes repairing paragraphs. Describe your finish condition and retain unsuccessful trials in the record, because excluding failures can make a route appear cheaper or faster than it was. Publish only measured figures tied to the exact source and conditions; estimates remain estimates.
Use the blank cost-and-time record
Open the cost/time worksheet or download the CSV. Name the source, route, version/settings and finish condition before recording any duration. The columns separate actual cash and currency, pack credits purchased, run credits consumed, setup, upload/wait, inspection and repair minutes.
Leave an unmeasured field blank. The saved published-paper comparison contains actual outputs, but it does not contain controlled end-to-end customer timings or paid checkout totals. A model request receipt is not a commercial price. Do not fill the sheet from those internal figures or label a method cheapest without comparable measured records.
Measure your actual decision rather than infer a price winner
The NASA sample was downloaded without manual output corrections; the separate reviewed journal paper required three equation-crop changes and still has clipped plot labels. Those are different amounts of remaining work, not measured customer correction times. Open the saved result relevant to your document, define the finish condition, then record your actual minutes and the confirmed page-credit charge. EPUBTurn’s sample helps make that decision before buying a full conversion; the worksheet does not turn internal model costs into a customer price.
